What it is

Open protocol and reference implementation for signed, content-addressed identity and provenance of models, agents, datasets, and related artifacts. Create verifiable identities and lineage records for models, agents, datasets, and artifacts, then sign, verify, publish, and audit them through a registry and CLI.

Key results

  • Uses SHA-256 multihash Genes for stable content-addressed identity
  • Verifies Ed25519 did:key identities offline with W3C eddsa-jcs-2022 proofs
  • Registry exposes Merkle-log inclusion, consistency proofs, and signed checkpoints

Shows that model and agent provenance can be made publicly auditable with append-only signed records, without a blockchain.
